Indiana CE Requirements
- 24 hours of Continuing Education before every license renewal
- 3 hours of the 24 must be Ethics
Long Term Care Requirements
- 8 hours of general Long Term Care in order to sell the product
- 7 hours of ILTCP in order to sell the product
- 5 hours each renewal period thereafter to maintain
Flood
- 3 hours once to sell Flood
Annuities
- 4 hours once to sell Annuities
Kentucky CE Requirments
- 24 hours before every renewal period
- 3 of the hours must be in ethics
- 6 of the hours must be specifically in an area licensed
- 12 hours can be carried over to the next renewal period
Long Term Care
- 8 hours to sell partnership plans
Flood
- 3 hour initial flood class required to sell
Annuities
- 4 hour initial annuity class to sell
IC 27-1-15.7-2.2 Continuing Education Requirement Credit Applied Towards Next License RenewalIndiana now allows carryover of up to 12 hours. This new law applies to anyone renewing their license after 12/31/2021. (e) No more than 12 hours of credit in continuing education courses completed by a producer before the effective date of the producer’s license renewal may be applied toward satisfying the continuing education requirement for the producer’s next license renewal. (f) The credit for a producer’s completion of a continuing education course may not be applied toward satisfying the continuing education unless the producer completed the continuing education course not more than 120 days before the effective date of the producer’s last license renewal. (g) Credit for a producer’s completion of continuing education course on the subject of (1) Ethics or (2) Long Term care before the effective date of the producer’s last license renewal may not be applied toward satisfying the continuing education requirement for the producer’s next license renewal.
